Invitation mailed in a bottle
|
A Message in a Bottle is a fabulous, unique way to
invite your guests to your wedding or event. Bottles can safely be mailed as-is, with no special box or
tube needed, for two-ounce first-class postage of $1.39. Invitations-in-a-bottle are available on any style
or color paper, which can be matched to your theme colors if desired. But for that authentic "treasure map"
look, we recommend parchment paper.
Optional response card, pre-stamped, is rolled up with the invitation.
Adrift on a tropical sea ...
Tied with ribbon or rustic twine, they're perfect for announcing a beach or island wedding,
or any other event. For just the right decorative touch, we can sprinkle sand and seashells into each bottle.
Specialized tropical shells or starfish, or colorful tropical umbrellas, are also available.
There's no restriction on the design, either, with an unlimited range of ink colors, fonts,
even photos or graphics if you like. Tied with your choice of twine or ribbons.

The romantic centerpiece for the popular novel and movie
|

We especially like the idea of a Message in a Bottle because our company is based
in Wilmington, NC, just a few minutes from the ocean-side town of Wrightsville Beach. Our local beach, of
course, is the setting for the novelist Nicholas Sparks' popular best-seller, Message in a Bottle,
and the 1999 movie starring Kevin Costner, Robin Wright Penn and Paul Newman.
The plot of Sparks' Message in a Bottle novel and screenplay
is based on a woman finding a bottle washed ashore with a mysterious love letter in it. She finds the writer, a boat builder
who lives at Wrightsville Beach with his father. It's a bitter-sweet tale of love and loss, with messages placed in bottles
marking the story's beginning and its end.
|
|

The romance of the sea has helped make Wrightsville Beach into
an important destination for weddings, as are the other beach communities along what's known as the Cape Fear Coast.
to
Cape Fear Wedding.
These laid-back, unspoiled towns include Carolina
Beach, Kure Beach, Topsail Island, Surf City, Bald Head Island, Oak Island and Ocean Isle Beach, all of which
have been the setting for beautiful ocean-front ceremonies.
That's a big reason why so many local brides have used
our Message in a Bottle invitations for their beach weddings. And why this unique way of delivering a special, personal
greeting to your guests has been so popular among couples nationwide. It's a favorite for beach weddings, of course, and for
destination-wedding get-aways to tropical island resorts. But even land-locked events with a tropical or nautical
them have used this distinctive vehicle to get the word out.
