Original Art Created to Order We thought it was about time. After 14 years of personalizing clients' life events, we decided it was time to introduce our co-owner and president's true talent. Kate Meyer, who created most all of the unique designs you have seen on our website, has been an artist since she was old enough to walk. Kate majored in Art and Mass Communications at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, putting herself through college by drawing portraits. We are thrilled that she has finally agreed again to offer this talent to you. On this page you can see a few examples of her recent work. We elected to post a widely recognizable person -- Johnny Depp -- so you can easily see the likeness.
Monochrome Watercolor
This is probably the most distinctive technique that Kate uses. She won't tell anyone the secret to this unique style, so don't ask. No, she will not change the color(s), so don't ask about that either.

This traditional technique has been used for portraits by the great masters since the Renaissance. Pencil portraits feature realism and fine details.
